DAVID DEAI

Creative Director

David is a native of Hawaii, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Hawaii. He also attended the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, and The Parsons School of Design in New York City.

David has practiced graphic design and architectural signage design for over 25 years, and his work adorns some most luxurious hotels in the world. Starting his career with UCI, (Urano Communication International) in Honolulu, Hawaii, David began designing for Hawaii’s hospitality industry – resort hotels, golf club, swimming pool murals and corporate branding. Moving to Hong Kong in 1995, David continued to work on signage and graphics for hospitality projects.

DEAIdesign was established in 2010, and has become one of the leading firms for signage and graphics in Asia Pacific. DEAIdesign projects include signage and graphics for Luxury hotels, Shopping Malls, Office Towers, Luxury Residences, Carparks, and Wayfinding. Our project list includes Luxury brands such as The Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou and Beijing, Grand Hyatt Sanya and Lijiang, Rosewood Haitang Bay, Fairmont Chengdu, InterContinental  Fuzhou and Pazhou, Crowne Plaza Haitang Bay, Tainan and Macau, the Conrad Guangzhou, and the St Regis Hong Kong.
